It's definetly not summer anymore!

Hi Family. So, it's officially cold in Michigan. I can't believe how quickly it switched! Last weekend I was playing in the lake and this weekend I was bundeled up! Anyways, after this week the first semester of my sophmore year will officially be HALF WAY over. That is so crazy. It went by extremely fast. I have been working really hard in all my classes, so hopefully that pays off with my midterm grades (which really don't mean anything, but are good at letting me know where I stand in the class). I also really exhausted, so I am really looking forward to Fall Break which is this weekend and classes start back up on Wednesday. I am excited to go home and see the fam and rest! I'll probably have alot of homework to do, but at least I wont have any classes. I'll also have to bring up all my winter stuff because I could definetly use some of my heavier coats up here already! But thats okay. I have alot this week since its the last week before break, but I'm trying to perservere! Here's some pictures from this past weekend:

Also, I signed up today for a Spring Break Mission Trip. We had to put down our top 3 choices. here were mine:
First Choice: Stinking Creek, Kentucky
Spend this Spring Break in Stinking Creek, KY with two women, now in their seventies, who have dedicated their lives to the people in this community. You’ll spend the week on the Lend-A-Hand farm in rural Appalachia doing some good ol’ farm work – milking the cows, building fences, working in the gardens, taking care of the animals, and doing repairs on farm buildings. You’ll drive the “hollers” picking up kids for Sunday school and a carnival, get out into the community doing some house repairs for people on the creek, and spend an afternoon hiking to a waterfall and soaking up the rich mountain culture at a local restaurant on the KY, TN, and VA border. Become part of the Lend-A-Hand family as you stay in the big farmhouse and hear Peggy and Irma’s remarkable stories of their fifty years there and how they’ve taken Jesus seriously in leaving all they had to follow him and “care for the least of these”. And all the while you’ll be surrounded by the peace and serenity of the mountains.
Second Choice: Memphis, Tennassse
Service Over Self. The mission of SOS is to "empower persons and transform neighborhoods by utilizing volunteers to renovate homes of economically disadvantaged homeowners in Memphis, Tennessee." This "mission camp" experience will give you an opportunity to put on your work clothes and gloves to serve, as an expression of Christ's love, those in need in inner-city Memphis. Nightly programming for the team will include opportunities to experience the culture and worship at a local church.
Third Choice: Jackson, Mississippi
It is the goal of this ministry to rebuild people and communities through the work of the gospel. They provide holistic programs which build strong individuals, families, churches, and communities in order to enable them to reach their full potential in Christ, physically, spiritually, economically, and socially. Students on this trip will serve this community’s needs through building projects and various other reconciliation projects dealing with poverty and racism.
So we shall see where God places me!! I'm up for anything.
Oh & also, this Wed. is the Off-Campus Study Fair so they have representatives from schools all over the world for options where we can study...So I'm so excited to get a million brochures and read them all.
K... this is long enough
LOVE YOU GUYS SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH
Jessica Linn Kohnen :)
